This Roasted Pepper Pesto Pizza makes a great appetizer and tastes so good. My pizza dough recipe is here and the roasted pepper pesto recipe is here. I make and freeze the pesto so it’s available whenever needed. The pesto recipe will make more then what you will need for the pizza so you can freeze the rest to have with pasta another day.

Make or buy your pizza dough. My pizza dough recipe is linked in the recipe notes.
Make the roasted pepper pesto. Recipe for the pesto is linked in the recipe notes.
Roll out your dough. If you like thicker crust, then use the whole batch of dough on one pizza. If you prefer thinner crust, split the dough in half and roll it thin. If you are making this into an appetizer, I recommend you make the crust thin and make the pizza narrow - around 6" wide. This will make it easier to cut up and serve as an appetizer.
Add the roasted pepper pesto. Top with sliced tomatoes.
Cut the basil leaves into 2 or 3 pieces per leaf and then add to the pizza. Add the onion slices.
Cut your mozzarella into slices and add to the pizza. Sprinkle the garlic, salt, pepper and oregano on top.
Top it with the Parmesan cheese. If you like, add some toasted pine nuts.
Bake in a hot oven. Preheat to 425. Depending on how thick your crust is, the pizza will take 20-40 minutes so keep an eye on it. Slice and serve hot.
